Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: June 30, 2026  ·  Last Updated: June 30, 2026

WCAG 2.1 Level AA  ·  ADA Title III Compliant

Stew’s Stix LLC is committed to ensuring our digital experiences are accessible to all people — including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor disabilities. Accessibility is a core part of how we build, not an afterthought.

Our Commitment

Stew’s Stix LLC strives to ensure that stewsstix.com, stewstix.com, and chefstew.com conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the globally recognized standard for web accessibility — and comply with:

  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — Title III: Governing public accommodations including websites
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act: Prohibiting disability-based discrimination
  • Nevada Revised Statutes: Including applicable state-level accessibility requirements

We believe every person deserves equal access to information about our products, catering services, and culinary offerings, regardless of ability or the assistive technology they use.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following features across our Sites:

  • Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG 4.5:1 contrast ratio requirement for standard-sized text
  • Descriptive Alt Text: Meaningful images include alternative text descriptions for screen reader users
  • Keyboard Navigation: All pages, menus, and forms are navigable using a keyboard without requiring a mouse
  • Screen Reader Compatibility: Semantic HTML5 markup supports JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack
  • Accessible Forms: All form fields include clear, descriptive labels, ARIA attributes, and actionable error messages
  • Scalable Text: Content can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality or horizontal scrolling
  • Focus Indicators: Visible keyboard focus states are provided throughout
  • High-Legibility Fonts: We use Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface specifically designed to improve readability for low-vision users
  • Responsive Design: All Sites adapt fully to mobile, tablet, and desktop viewports
  • No Auto-Playing Media: No audio or video content plays automatically without user consent

Known Limitations

While we work diligently toward full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, we acknowledge the following current limitations:

  • Third-party embedded components (payment widgets, shipping calculators) may have accessibility constraints outside our direct control. We are actively working with vendors on remediation
  • Some older downloadable documents may not be fully screen-reader accessible — accessible versions are available upon request
  • Certain rich interactive elements may require additional ARIA label refinement

We treat accessibility as an ongoing commitment and prioritize remediation in all development cycles.
